C25K first week completed!
Did it! Went out on my own with my new , well new to me, Garmin Forerunner 10 and plodded South along the canal path to save on the road crossings… and less embarrassing than running past people houses. I managed 2.1 miles a tad slower than running with Jules but still managed an estimated Personal Best for a mile according to Strava!
Feeling good, shins hurt a bit but not the “OwOwOwOwOMGOMGOMGithurts” with every step I had in the week, which might have been helped by changing how I lace my running shoes… have a look here if you have ever wondered what that extra lace-hole is for.
Not impressed with the app from the NHS and BBC Couch to 5K plan though. Ended up having to re-enter the weeks activities as it kept overwriting the first week. Sorted it now though… always make sure you have the scheduled day of the week highlighted first before starting the run.
Week 2 starts Monday! Bring it on…
